ninth REAL short story, wowwwee xD

( A gentle wind pushed the lonely swings to my right, and I knew how badly Ethan must have wanted to run and hide in one of the plastic yellow tunnels nearby. How could he not? If I had a gun pointed at my face, I probably would want that, too. )

I must be sickening you with all these stories :D

( Several more minutes passed-perhaps hours-because the city streets had quieted down slightly from outside. And it also added to the fact that the two of them had fallen asleep so suddenly, the subdued hum of the computer filling the empty silence. )

This was a short story I wrote earlier and had time to modify it, so enjoy :D

Whipped this up last week. A short story for the hell of it. Took me like 3 hours, so enjoy! :)
I was experimenting with voice in characters and decided to step away from the typical "female author = female first person voice" and use a guy instead.
And yes, I used Dan on the cover art; there were no better pictures! =P
